Nicholas Warns Architects are pleased to have assisted St Margaret’s Church, Starston with their successful Heritage Lottery Fund grant application.
Following the Quinquennial Inspection Report in 2016, which highlighted the need for urgent and structural repairs to the fabric, the PCC decided to apply for a Listed Places of Worship Heritage Lottery Fund Grant.
The aim of “keeping the water out and bringing the community in” and opening up the Grade I Listed Building to the wider community has been achieved with the full £222,000 received. PCC chairman John Formston says plans will now be made to decide events and other activities that can be held in the church to widen its community use.
